The Ace Attorney Trilogy gets a free update with a new interface, extra content, and so on. This is great, because from all the trilogies, this one doesn't play as nicely as the others, and you can feel its age, especially on Steam!

Writing a new chapter in my upcoming book, and this sentence just slipped in: Be aware that Tailwind is neither educational nor a methodology. It's a company's free tier of their product. And all communication is centered around that.

On to playing Final Fantasy VII OG on Steam, and the German version is 1:1 the same game I played in the late 90s, warts and all. The translation is rushed and abysmally poor. Some dialogue scenes are cut off, don't make any sense, or are simply weird.

Today I wrote about 300 lines of Rust featuring "unsafe" that I thought about quite carefully. Then I started adding safety comments. The act of needing to convincingly argue that something is true made me find and fix 3 bugs I had missed before. Safety comments exist for a reason!

imho, this post has some basis in truth: yes, in a literal sense, a programming language does not have a speed: an implementation of a language and a program in it has a speed but this completely misses that language semantics impact performance ceilings

It's a real bummer when I see folks who *clearly* don't like Rust writing (multiple!) articles like "is rust ready for embedded? I tried it and still don't like it, so no". It's fine that people don't use tools they don't like! I just wish we had more people who DO USE Rust writing these articles.
