yeah any time a game has difficulty options I try to find any kind of documentation on what each difficulty actually does, how hard normal seems to b, what people are saying about each mode, etc. and then if you can't change after starting the game? Absolute nightmare.

I'm honestly not a fan of discrete difficulty modes in general, I think its much more fun when games have more integrated ways of modifying difficulty
