Eldest monkey is coming back from her residential school trip today. I am excite! I’d kidded myself I’d done quite well this week, until… … I recalled how badly I’ve slept, the crick in my neck I’ve developed & how all my work tasks have taken much longer than usual. :P

For example, I reckon I’ve blocked maybe 20 ads for Tide banking and at least 30 different Adobe Acrobat ads. Madness.

It can be quite extraordinary how many adverts some companies will run at one time on YouTube in an attempt to get round you trying to block them.

Mail app seems to have died on my iPhone. Which is nice. Repeatedly asking me to enter my password, not accepting it, then accepting it, then saying it can’t reach the server, when all my computers can. Wife had a similar problem recently. Have iPhones and Outlook fallen out or something?!

It's quite astonishing how many out-of-office replies I'm getting during this whole house buying malarkey. Do estate agents, solicitors, mortgage advisers, etc. get more than holidays than the rest of us*? *I say "us". I'm a self-employed, workshy fop in the music industry. :P

The vets supplied us with the blade of grass. Which is... nice? It was huge though!

The cat is okay! He’s been sedated and they found a big blade of grass behind his soft palate. Idiot. £500 to pull some grass out of his throat. Does he not know I’m trying to buy a house! :P

Having an impromptu Waitrose meal deal picnic with my wife, as we’ve had to drop the cat off at the vets (he may have some grass lodged at the back of his throat). Not a bad view.

Our mortgage company have assigned their surveying company to do the survey on our new house. Except... Their company has assigned a more local company, who have then assigned ANOTHER company to do it! Kafkaesque stuff. Fortunately, the actual company doing it have an excellent reputation. :P
