It's cases like this that ask the big questions on gun control in the U.S. Someone turns up to do a job, mistakenly at the wrong place, and is shot dead. How would this have played out in a country without ready access to firearms?

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

The point about various scandals and economic shocks leading to the current Brexit Age of politics is inarguable: financial crash, austerity, MPs' expenses etc etc Also, great fact: places that had a Pret voted Remain.

A policy this expansive would certainly mean mass stripping of permanent residence status from people with ILR (including pensioners and parents of British children) on a scale far beyond anything any democracy has ever done before. There is no public support for such an extreme policy.

UK disposable incomes will be £570 (1.3%) lower by Sept 2029 than Sept 2025, says Joseph Rowntree Foundation. "... the worst outcome for living standards of any parliament since records began in 1961." No serious discussion about politics can exist without considering the impact of this.

Similar with the Lib Dems. The only party to have been straight-forwardly pro-Europe and anti-Brexit, their position is now to have "closer ties" with the E.U and cutting red tape, with rejoining very much a long-term goal.

I don't think it's unreasonable nor partisan to point out that this was specifically flagged by pro-Europe campaigners and dismissed as scaremongering by Vote Leave et al. "We hold all the cards" comes to mind.
