Like, lots of media written in English and other languages give their characters names with meaning or subtext but the thing I really enjoy about Japanese is that the use of kanji lets them do all kinds of clever things.

Her name is written 咲子. 咲 meaning "blooming/blossoming" and 子 meaning "child" (many common girl's names end in this kanji) They named the girl who dies by exploding into flowers "blooming girl". When I realised that I laughed so hard, and felt bad about how much I laughed.

Spoilers for the first like, 10 minutes of Silent Hill f, but there's a girl called Sakuko who the main character Hinako has some brief interactions with right before the Evil Shit happens and she bursts into flowers and dies.
