To that end, I've also REALLY been digging obscure 70s stuff as well. Cartoons maybe not as much, but underground movies, music, and TV? The 70s were ON FIRE with some smart, genuine, and truly mind-boggling stuff. They were fucking LOCKED IN on everything people now refer to as "woke".

The 90s were just so...unpredictable, man. I really resent that I was so goddamn sheltered during that time, because it really was a decade full of shockingly unique media (TV, music, changing technology, political awareness, etc) and it's really eye-opening to revisit it now as an adult. Fuck me.

Who the fuck signs off on giving the late 70s cult classic horror parody movie series Attack of The Killer Tomatoes a Saturday morning kids' cartoon? Obviously they'd have to severely change things to make it appropriate for all ages, so how does that even work??? It's unheard of in our modern era!

I'm getting to a point in my adult life that I genuinely think discovering obscure never-talked-about 90s cartoons have become my favorite thing to watch, if only because they're just so damn inexplicable. How did these things get greenlit? What was the studio aiming for? Does it even matter? NOPE!
