Marston was NOT subtle about what was going on in Wonder Woman, nor was he ever cagey about his intentions behind the representation of the character. Again, Marston in 1944: "It seemed to me, from a psychological angle, that the comicsβ worst offense was their blood-curdling masculinity."

Midway across the river the duckling stings the pizza, dooming them both. When asked why, the duckling points out that this is its nature.

Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears of joy, realizes how much happiness he brings into the dark and uncertain world. "I am Pagliacci. Thank you doctor."

A movie no one ever talks about - it might not even be THAT good - but you still love it. filmsky π½οΈπ¬ Star Wars (1977) fun Hidden Fortress remake with a scifi twist made by a still green George Lucas (his 3rd movie) A lesser Alec Guiness vehicle but Peter Cushing is great in this piece of 70s pulp
