1/ DEVELOPING: A journalist was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital following another incident with an ICE agent at 26 Federal Plaza, an immigration court in NYC. The last I heard, he was getting X-rays for his lower back.

The latest Norstat poll for the Times shows a sustained lead for Yes in #Indyref2 voting intention. Even with the published 2014 vote weighting Yes has a 6 point lead. But if we reweight based on current (rather than fantasy) demographics, Yes has a 13 point lead.

Five days ago, an ICE agent shoved a woman asking questions about the detention of her husband. Today they attacked two journalists. We cannot accept or normalize what has now become routine violence at 26 Federal Plaza. It has no place in our city.

This is the President explicitly threatening to withhold federal funds from New York City if voters elect a candidate he opposes. This is an unlawful attempt to coerce voters through federal financial threats and a textbook example of voter intimidation to influence the outcome of a local election.

These are some of the most extreme restrictions on immigration in years. We're told to see them as benign because they're less bad than Farage's far-right extremism. But they are still terrible.
