Clackamas Service Center’s Food Hub is a lifeline for so many in CD5, but SNAP cuts in Republicans’ trash budget are threatening its ability to keep the doors open. If it closes, the community could lose more than 1 million meals per year – we can’t let that happen.

Let’s get one thing clear: Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. If the government shuts down, they own it.

The Central Oregon Disability Support Network helps over 4,000 of our rural families of children with disabilities get the support they need.  The Trump administration is taking that support away. I won’t stand for it – I’m demanding the funding be restored.

Last week, the Trump administration canceled funding for the Central Oregon Disability Support Network. This loss of funding means less access to opportunities for kids, and less support for parents. I'm demanding the funding be restored – it's what Oregon families deserve.

Today, we remember the lives we lost on 9/11 and the heroes who responded with courage and sacrifice. I am praying for those who lost a loved one on this day 24 years ago – everyone is somebody’s someone. We will never forget them or their stories.

A top concern I continue to hear from my constituents at my town halls is access to healthcare. We need to make sure that everyone can get the care they need where and when they need it, and without breaking the bank.

Access to safe and reliable transportation and routes = FREEDOM. That’s why I spoke with Oregon transit representatives to discuss ongoing needs in our district and ways I will continue to fight to bring funding home for projects in CD5.

As we make our way through wildfire season, it’s important that we mitigate risk as much as possible. I stand ready to work with our partners on the ground to make sure they have everything they need to keep our communities safe.

We haven’t asked for the President to send the National Guard to Portland. In fact, none of the cities he’s deploying them to have asked for it. It’s an abuse of power, and it needs to stop.

If the President thinks he can march into Portland and start body snatching to discourage free speech and incite terror, he has another thing coming. Worry about the economy you’re tanking with your chaotic policies – we got us.

Unemployment is up, job creation is down, and costs are rising. The numbers haven't been this bad since the pandemic – the President is failing the economy. Oregonians deserve better.

Republicans sent us home for the district work period celebrating their trash budget, which rips healthcare away from millions of Americans. I’m returning to DC ready to fight back against those harmful cuts and work on legislation to do what I came here to do – make life better for Oregonians.
