1/2 Leonora Tyson of Drewstead Road Streatham joined the WSPU in 1908 along with mother Helen & sister Diana. She was very active organising/fundraising in both Streatham & Lambeth branches. In 1912 she was sentenced to 2 months in prison for breaking government office windows.

The reluctance among media outlets to specify that these pogroms are the work of far-right loyalist thugs is particularly weird, given that they sign their work! The LVF spray tags on the houses of the people they burn out, whether Catholics, migrants or refugees. They've done this for decades!

Per most recent figures, net migration to NI *over the past 22 years* has been ~62,000 people. Only 3% of Northern Ireland’s population currently belong to an ethnic minority. Pogroms in Belfast (as with Ballymena last year) are just gutter-level "One Is One Too Many" racism, and nothing else.

Politico: "Farage’s line [is] condemning the violence in Belfast while arguing most involved are “not far-right, not extremists, just really scared” about events in their communities." The people scared are not those burning cars and homes while wearing balaclavas. It's those on the receiving end.

We have broken into new territory with a maximum temperature of 35ºC at Heathrow and Kew Gardens within the last 15 minutes - the old May record gone by 2.2ºC and only 0.6ºC from the June record set in 1976. This should not be happening in late May, but it is.

This morning I’ve been canvassing with the team in Streatham St Leonard’s Ward where yet another Green Party anti-semitism scandal will cost tax payers £25k for a by-election I spoke to many angry green voters who feel let down by the Green Party, and who will vote Lib Dem this time around.

This must be the closest three fight in the country: Liberal Democrats 31.8% Labour 30.6% Greens 29.5% Others 8.8% This is a 20% Labour to Lib Dem swing and 4% Green to Lib Dem swing.

Labour have lost Lord Mandelson's former council seat of Stockwell. At the last election they held this seat with 53% of the voting. The winning candidate is Liberal Democrat @tamlangley.bsky.social - who is absolutely amazing*.
