This must be the closest three fight in the country: Liberal Democrats 31.8% Labour 30.6% Greens 29.5% Others 8.8% This is a 20% Labour to Lib Dem swing and 4% Green to Lib Dem swing.

Labour have lost Lord Mandelson's former council seat of Stockwell. At the last election they held this seat with 53% of the voting. The winning candidate is Liberal Democrat @tamlangley.bsky.social - who is absolutely amazing*.

Lambeth Greens' earlier uncritical support for LTNs (until the fiasco of Streatham Wells LTN brought buses on Streatham High Road to gridlock) may mean many locals will resist supporting them in Streatham Hill East.

There is one genuinely three way contest in Streatham Hill East, where a Labour cllr elected in St Leonard's ward who defected to Greens decided to move wards (in an apparent grudge match to fight Labour's deputy leader.) However this is a ward where Low Traffic Neighbourhoods are a divisive issue.

Greens have no local campaigns in these Lambeth wards, where the Lib Dems already have councillors or have been campaigning hard: Waterloo Vauxhall Oval Kennington Stockwell East Clapham Common & Abbeville Streatham Hill West & Thornton Streatham Wells Streatham Common & Vale.

There are nine other Lambeth wards where local Lib Dem candidates have been running a conspicuously more intensive literature and canvassing campaign than the Greens, and are now positioned as clear challengers to Labour.

The Times's Max Kendix has only been out and about in a limited part of the borough. The Greens had a very strong vote share in Lambeth four years ago, but *lost* seats because their ground campaign was not targeted. This year they only have active ground campaigns in *half* of Lambeth wards.
