Yvonne Arnaud was the star of the production of The Improper Duchess, opening in Streatham on 28th March 1932. Many of the cast went on to repeat their roles in the 1936 film version.

The mighty George Formby brought his show to Streatham High Road on 22nd March 1943.

An up and coming Gerald Harper was in the cast of Tropical Fever, which opened in Streatham on 21st March 1955.

27th February 1956: Dirk Bogarde took the lead in Summertime at Streatham Hill Theatre - with a young Ronnie / Ronald Barker also in the cast!

Another opening, another show! Kiss Me Kate opened in Streatham on 25th February 1952.

After a successful run at The Globe, the comedy Canaries Sometimes Sing opened at Streatham Hill Theatre on 24th February 1930.  This production is credited as the breakthrough role that launched the career of Yvonne Arnaud.

The play Waiting In The Wings, set in a charity home for retired actresses, opened in Streatham on 20th February 1961. This programme is signed by Dame Sybil Thorndike and her co-star (and husband) Lewis Casson.

A spectacular production of Peter Pan opened at Streatham Hill Theatre on 16th February 1959. This programme and ticket stub came from the Wednesday afternoon matinee!

A dispute between Equity and ITV freed the cast of the popular Emergency Ward 10 to tour in a production of Doctor In The House.  The show came to Streatham Hill Theatre on 12th February 1962.
