It's being lobbied by AI companies and Meta. We discovered recently how Persona which is one of the popular age verification companies actively gives your information to the US government to create international watchlist to determine their "danger based on their facial features".

So yeah no wonder they go to the internet to socialize. Then you have to consider about the kids that are queer, that are disabled, that are bipoc in areas that they can't find community.
