"Judge Holly Teeter of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas dismissed both suits, citing lack of jurisdiction. In the case against Titan Websites, Teeter ruled that the plaintiff failed to show the site "purposefully directed its activities at Kansas."

California’s new age-verification law, AB 1043, doesn’t apply to adult sites. It requires device makers and app stores to collect users’ ages and provide an API so apps—not websites—can restrict minors from “age-inappropriate” content. www.freespeechcoalition.com/blog/califor...

AB 1043 does not apply to websites, meaning the technology is not currently available to adult sites who wish to block minors. While there is inherent privacy risk in all AV solutions, device-based solutions are more privacy preserving than the platform-based verification mandated in other states.
