This is no accident. The groups behind age-verification laws have been explicit that they regard "gender ideology" and nearly any representation of LGBTQ+ existence as pornography AV is government censorship. Platforms are either designating LGBTQ+ content NSFW or removing it all together.

It's baked in. "Non-partisan" age-verification provider groups regularly partner with evangelical anti-LGBTQ+, anti-sex worker groups to push legislation that expands market share.

A new report from Axios shows that age-verification laws don't work. Virginia has had AV laws in effect for two years. Tons of sites with adult content are still easily accessible because they're not located in the US and not complying with US laws. As we've been saying for three plus years.
