Calling every progressive policy “communism” is like calling every fruit an orange. Socialism generally means keeping markets and private property while using government to provide more public services. Communism seeks to eliminate private ownership altogether. They’re not the same.

Since Trump wants the big issue in the midterms to be "communism," I'm reupping this thread about how Trump and the Republicans want to rule like Stalin and the Soviets.
