I love that my kids get exposed to music at their public school - I don't love that so little attention is PAID to the children that my daughter was playing a broken flute (as in, *nothing happened* when you pressed any of the keys) for a number of weeks before she played for me and I told her.

Simply cannot believe that they have only reopened the government until January. Check in on your local scientists folks. We need a hug.

My husband and kids went pescatarian a couple years ago now, and he is the cook of the family so I don't get much meat at home these days. Also, this might be because I didn’t grow up American, and I don’t want to appear ungracious to the parents who have offered to host parties, but isn’t the ‘event’ on Halloween the trick-or-treating? Why are we adding times and locations and more sugar to the mix.

My kids have been invited to multiple different Halloween parties this year, one of which is on the other side of our town, and the most annoying thing (besides suddenly having a logistics problem to solve of which parent needs to be with which child when) is having to drive on Halloween. 🫠
