Rest in peace original funk brother Billy Bass Nelson who took care of the bottom end for Parliament/Funkadelic between 1968 and 1971. He later played with The Commodores, The Chairmen of the Board, Fishbone, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, and rejoined George Clinton's mob in the mid 90s.

I have been utterly floored at the loss of two dear friends. Working so closely with them on music and the books was a joy & privilege that I will carry with me forever. My love and best wishes are with Quanah and family. Rest in peace my dear friends. (Edit of Instagram post)

The Kenny Dalglish documentary by @asifkapadia.bsky.social is currently on Prime. It's a magnificent film about a great footballer, a great human being and two great British cities. A difficult and angering watch at times, for obvious reasons, but pretty much an essential one. #DontBuyTheSun

Summer music to wooze your mind

UK. Satanic is possibly the most underrated British psych album of them all.

Finally picked up this ‘favourite’ album of so many people I read about and follow. It is not disappointing. A Gift From Euphoria- not sure how to describe it yet. Voice reminds me of Wil Malone a little and it is definitely madly ambitious.
