Listen, if a sentence starts with "how", then it doesn't need the word "like" at the end. "What it looks like" makes sense, and "How it looks" makes sense. But "How it looks like" sounds weird and redundant. I keep seeing this online and I don't understand why people have started doing it.

Long 🧵 Content Warning: loss of an animal Her name was Tucker and she was less than a year old. She was recently diagnosed with FELV, and soon after that her health started to decline from an upper respiratory infection. It feels rather sudden that she's gone.

My sister and I volunteer at an organization called A Nutter Cat Rescue, and this evening we got some very sad news. One of the cats who has been at the rescue for quite a while had to be euthanized today. Tonight is going to be a sad night in our home and in the hearts of the other volunteers.
