i edited someone's book when i was around 19 or 20.. it was really fun and rewarding. i have no credentials, but i have a great passion for effective communication and getting points across through literature.

Whether you hire me or not, hire an editor. You will embarrass yourself (even if you don’t know it!) and lose sales and readers. You should hire me though

Why WOULDN’T you want your very own cheerleader who wants you to publish your very best work?!?! This is my hill, actually. Nobody wants you to look good more than your editor does.

and not just a copyeditor (who corrects grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax) editors also look at content and structure and support developmental and substantive editing. you also need professional input on the "big picture," offering advice on plot, pacing, and character development.

I’m a self-published author who does line/ copy edits for other authors. Editing is really important. It’s your partner, not your adversary.
