The number one reason I block is the other person blocks all replies. The number two reason is they use insults as a debate tactic. Three is probably them being MAGAts, but I mostly stay away from sites that promote them. Four is lack of logic.

Imagine a nation, where instead of fighting over which candidate is the lesser evil, we have discussions like this: "Yes, I agree your guy is good, but here is why MY guy is better:" Followed by a list of good things, many of which should overlap with the other guys' list.

I feel the first slip of the democratic process begins with language. The idea that we can vote AGAINST someone, or some party. It shifts focus away from good candidates to what we don't want. To be clear, in the American system, we can't cast a vote against anyone. We vote FOR someone.
