Earlier today in Gresham, Oregon (a suburb just outside of Portland), a US citizen was detained by ICE after taking photos of their unmarked vehicles. US Gestapo smashed the persons car windows before detaining them. They have since been released.

Last night in Portland, Portland city council person @candaceavalos.bsky.social woke up to her car and home on fire from suspected arson. She has been a target of the far-right for months, by people like Andy Ngo, who has admitted on court record that his posts targeting people can lead to violence.

As we all know, real activists who achieve real things talk about doing federal crimes on public social media all the time (do not trust anyone who talks about how cool doing federal crimes is on public social media)

I've found people often change what they say and think to justify their actions (or lack of action) rather than the other way around. It's easier to make excuses about how "that wouldn't work anyway" or "it's best to just ignore them" instead of changing from doing very little to helping.
