Just a personal opinion; I think folks should have a kit ready to grab / use at a moment’s notice for responding to pop-up fash actions. A face covering, a plain hoodie, gloves, and something for self-defense in a bag or in your car can help you respond promptly and more safely to community threats.

An agent photographed on the roof of the ICE facility in Portland yesterday was seen wearing a "Savage Tacticians" T-shirt. ST was called out publicly in 2023 after it was discovered their regular model was a tattooed neo-nazi. The company photoshopped off his tattoos and tried denying it.

Today in Portland, a fed shooting pepper balls from the roof of the ICE facility was so eager to aim for people’s heads, that after shooting one photographer in the head and another in the upper arm, they accidentally shot a DHS agent in the head. This photo shows the moment of impact;

This administration’s push to go after “Antifa” is less about going after specific antifascists or anarchists, and more about the ability to broadly paint large organizations, non-profits, political foes, and groups of people as “terrorists” in order to secure their longer term fascistic goals.

Part of what's happening now was laid out by Stephen Miller on a podcast with Charlie Kirk in early 2024, then shortly after in an article on Feb 8 from The Atlantic. Trump's court losses only lead to further blurring of the lines between "legal" and overt dictatorial power.

From my limited understanding, designating "Antifa" as a FTO would allow prosecutions for material support, broader surveillance, denial of entry into the US of those considered "Antifa", and the deportation of migrants considered "Antifa". Other FTOs include ISIS, the Houthis, and various cartels.

DHS's tweets / Trump's rhetoric around Portland's ICE facility resulted last night in dozens of MAGAs being present, chanting "Fuck Antifa", "USA", and cheering as DHS used munitions. DHS had a sniper on the roof, chud trucks circled the streets, and at least two neo-nazis in skull masks showed up.

Pro-tip: if you have video of you or others directly intervening to obstruct ICE or de-arrest someone, for god’s sake don’t post it on social media. Or at a minimum blur faces first. You’re just begging for federal charges.

ICE now has access to Israeli spyware called "Graphite". Graphite has been used previously outside of the US to hack into journalists' iPhones. The spyware has the capability of things like accessing GPS locations, listening through a phone's microphone, and accessing encrypted apps like Signal.
