Adoptees who have relinquished, is this the doubling down of an exploitive system or something else? As an adoptee, I support fellow adoptees stories and experiences full stop. But the relinquished choosing to relinquish seems to me to be a special kind of heartbreak. 🥚

I think about this often. What happened during the 30 days between relinquishment and placement with APs?? Social worker thought APs might not want me because, despite what the paperwork said, I looked Jewish to her. Was I ever alone with this hateful person? 🥚

Interestingly, my adoption had best possible outcomes given an infant w/ unresolved trauma/motherloss, was raised by adoptive mother w/ unresolved infertility trauma.
