When you remove someone's ability to resist using legal means, you push them to take other forms of action. Civil disobedience includes refusing to comply with bad laws. Things are about to get very interesting in Alberta. The whole of the labour movement (and all workers!) can't let this stand.

I'm appalled by the use of the notwithstanding clause to override the Charter rights of workers. And people need to know that not only did the province use S.33, but they also suspended teachers' rights under the Alberta Human Rights Act and Bill of Rights.
