Maine Beer Co. much bigger now, but still one best breweries in the area. Drinking a 7% Belgian Blonde with our pizza. And yes, both are as good as they look.

A very tidy new RO machine gone into the shed out the back of the brewery. Will hopefully improve the quality of our beers. Definitely something we should have done years ago.

Spending the weekend chasing my two year old son around the parks of Paris. Can’t get over how many well maintained public spaces there are here. Beautiful parks with great playgrounds, lots of benches and seats and public toilets.

O/O Bar, Gothenburg 🇸🇪 1st visit. Little bar for O/O Beers. 8 taps with 3 guests and a side-pull for their Pils. Quite a nice space. Knajpa style drop-in. Worth noting for sure. Audience younger but not exclusively. 🍻👍

There’s a lot of people that will only buy the most expensive beer on the bar. They consider cheaper beer, worse beer, which isn’t necessarily the case. So in some ways it’s a race to the top.

Fair play to the big breweries for the constant price increase. It helps keep smaller breweries like out sustainable, and keep our pricing competitive.

The brewery had over 10k followers on Twitter, I’d say it was a massive part of growing our business between 2010 and 2020. Was happy enough to walk away in 2024, partly because it was pretty obvious the new owner was a prick, it had also stopped being effective unless you were willing to to pay.
