AI can't comprehend that there was an available appt for today instead of the earliest being 11/25, but I'm sure the AI I was asked to give consent to (I did not) for the sake of the doctor having notes written up for them surmising the appointment would be FINE! This is fucked on so many levels.

Had to schedule an ultrasound, called the scheduling office, and was told the soonest appointment was for Nov. 25th. The scheduler said to wait a second so that he could look manually instead of using their new AI scheduler that sometimes overlooks dates. He got me an appointment for tomorrow. Lol.

The Columbus Dispatch ran a "what you can and cannot do while protesting article" and listed "Refusing to provide information or providing false information when stopped is illegal." Folks, I assure you, the Fifth Amendment still exists and you still have the right to remain silent.

October Bug 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Bugsy's dodged some bullets since starting his journey navigating cancer, and somehow has made it to my favorite month. He is still gaining weight (he weighs 10.7lbs.. my birthday is 10/7), but is slowing down, quickly. The end of the line is near. I'll be forever grateful for him.

With five minutes left of my birthday, I am beyond grateful to report that I did get my wish. We spent the evening in our garden, checking on our pumpkin patch, and admiring the moon. There will never be a other birthday with him, but this will stay with me for however many birthdays I have left 🧡

My neighbors are putting up Christmas lights in their backyard along the portion of their house that'll allow the lights to shine directly into my yard and bedroom window. The 2nd year in a row that they have done this in October, after I decorated my front yard tree for Halloween. People are weird.

14 years ago today, Bugsy came into my life as a nearly dead, severely malnourished kitten that couldn't even see yet. Once he could see, he imprinted on me and he's been by my side ever since. I wrote a four page update on Bugsy in my notes app and realize it isn't worth sharing currently. But the TL:DR-ish version is tests were run on Thursday after FAR too long of a wait at the ER (his oncologist encouraged said visit because his routine bloodwork was/is concerning, along with mild 1/4

If there is a hell and I wind up there, it will present itself as the waiting room of an emergency veterinary hospital where I am left no choice but to sit and watch incredibly sad scenario after incredibly sad scenario while waiting for my own potential incredibly sad scenario.

September Bug 🧡🧡🧡🧡 I love this cat with my entire heart & soul. As of today, we seem to have hit a bump in the road, and I don't know if it's because we have neared the end of it or not, but we are about to take him in to find out.
