Healthcare has to be one of the 2 most important planks to run on in 2028. It has to be Improved Medicare For All or bust. Single payer that includes vision, dental, and mental health for ALL. Go to war with the insurance companies. Tie healthcare to everything because it is tied to everything.

Reasonably convinced Seattle could leverage the World Cup and record cruise traffic to justify massively expanding pedestrianization downtown. Pedestrian-first areas: packed. Car-first areas: deserted. The retail sales and visitation metrics even suggest this would be a *pro-business* move.

Look at the presentation of JD Vance's speech in Iowa (1) in NYT, (2) in a leading London paper. The latter presents what actually happened. The Times glamorizes Vance, presenting him just as he would want to be presented. One of these is journalism, the other is an exercise in sycophancy.

Oil prices wouldn't be all over the news today if more of our economy was powered by local, secure renewable energy. This isn't an "energy crisis". It's a fossil fuel crisis. 44% of UK electricity came from renewables in 2025. More of that plus an electrified economy => no more oil shocks.
