On the plus side, I did manage to replace the shift rod with a salvage one that has a good reverse lockout. No more risk of the transmission exploding when I go for 1st. \o/ #scirocco

Just change the Scirocco's O2 sensor. I said, it'll be easy I said. And then it snapped off inside the catalytic converter. :D ...to be fair, it has been 18 years since I last touched it. Bonus, the THREE cv bolts that failed on the passenger half shaft... #scirocco

Also: we gotta normalize conflict resolution that doesn't revolve around scorched earth outcomes. Guess what, you're gonna see people you don't get along with at Conventions still! And that is NOT their problem!

Doing the daily grind

Conventions can get into massive legal trouble for speaking publicly about matters such as bans. It's why you so rarely see them talked about publicly. Which is why I find it really stupid that people are negging on a convention's social media person for a response deemed "not good enough".

Ah, I've been upgraded to "atypical pneumonia". 🫩 And power is still out. Over 4 days now.

So my power's been out for almost 72 hours now, after that big storm ripped through the burgh, with no real TBD for it coming back online. :/ Lost everything in the fridge and freezer, ugh. Cleaned it all out last night.

During MFF, my beloved Shiba Inu, Suki, developed severe pneumonia and was taken by my friend to the emergency vet, where he underwent diagnostics and was put on O2 and antibiotics. He was on the mend and results looked promising overnight and into the next day.
