[September 16th, 1945] Rhode Island State Prison hosted a Labor Day clambake, surprising old-timers with 500 inmates and staff enjoying clams, quahaugs, and food. Funded by commissary profits, Warden Cranor said the inmates earned it, celebrating their wartime contributions.

Honestly...hell yeah. Corporate landlords are some of the most powerful people in our society right now. Government should be in the corner of small and independent businesses and working to level that playing field. Good for them for looking for leverage to fight back.
