Rust constants are slowly but surely getting more powerful! On stable you can parse constants from environment variables. I remember having to pull in weird crates & macros to be able to do this.

I've added an AI policy to ripgrep that was shamelessly copied from uv's policy. I plan to add this to the rest of my projects, but if anyone wants to offer feedback on wording, now would be a good time!

I just wrote a blog post on exploring and recreating Axum - Rust's most popular web framework (probably!) - from the ground up. We explore routing, extractors, state, and middleware. Take a look:

I've been inspired to write a Rust library for splitting audio easily. Turns out while writing my Discord call transcription bot (for my DnD group), I've learned the hard way that having a library that can easily split audio is actually kind of a good idea. Maybe something coming soon?

Humanity is on track to trash the environment while working jobs we hate, all to fund massive production of electricity so that "AI" bots can talk to each other on social media. This is basically the backstory to The Matrix (1999), except that on a species level, the slavery is self-inflicted.
