If senior politicians won't draw a line, if they insist on constantly mainstreaming and legitimising the far right then the onus lies on us. From Robinson and Farage, the far-right are relying on people buying their lies and surrendering their critical thought.

As we have seen tonight, and on many nights across the past 2 years, we can stop this. But it's on us, all of us, to draw the line. When someone speaks of an individual event as a reason to target a group, even a tragedy, the onus is on us to reject the premise that this is a legitimate concern.

And the best moment to tell them that their concerns are not legitimate was yesterday and the next best is tomorrow. Because, if we don't draw the line, then we are headed into terrifyingly dark territory as a society.
