With the exception of my Dad's obit, I've written nothing since he died three weeks ago. My reading has collapsed. Well almost. I found poetry in Dad's old notebooks. Like, how in electronics school in the Army, when he should've been taking notes about Ohm's Law, there's a poem. I've read those.

I just watched the footage of Erika Kirk walking out to challenge Vince McMahon, I mean give her eulogy. We are not a sane nor healthy country. We need to figure out why everything is such a spectacle.

Still grieving but I wanted to pop in and say that apparently my Dad read every day. He told me he did, but I wasn't sure if it was true. He always had a Johnstone novel, a Bible, and a pistol within reach.

We did not make it. He passed yesterday morning. So, instead I'm doing other things. Adulting things related to death of a Dad. He was a very complicated man but I loved him and he loved me. I was very fortunate to have a Dad who cared and was so proud of his kids.

The dumbest thing about this map is that when you cycle through everything that's supposed to be "southern", Pennsylvania would end up be the most southern state of all time. Also everything in red and green is very pro- a Yankee from Queens.

So, look, as a librarian, I get hit on all the time. Nowhere near as much as the women I work with, but I expect some flirty compliments. But please DO NOT tell your librarian (of any gender) you want to fuck them. It's not cool, cute, or flirty.

Conservatives are weird. Cracker Barrel sucks. I have never enjoyed their food. Same with Chick fil a. You know who likes Cracker Barrel and Chick fil a? People who hate food.
