I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

Hollow Knight update: I am still having fun! I'm a little annoyed that this bench is so far from the boss i am tackling. I also put all my money in a bank; now that I want to withdraw my 3k, I've forgotten where it is. :)

I don't normally enjoy platformers but I have been playing Hollow Knight. I'm surprisingly decent at it all things considered, but after about an hour of gameplay I need to stop and go back to my comfort 4x games. I am enjoying it but I get so stressed out if I don't take breaks.

just an update on chinese — i am having so much fun learning and i am seeing a lot of progress. i'm not using the hsk vocab list but my vocab and grammar would be considered between hsk2 and hsk3. i read about 90 minutes every day and it is paying off!

i did a practice test and can confirm i'm around HSK3 level in chinese now! i started near the end of april w/ 1-2 hours daily so i'm very happy w my progress. my goal is to read novels in the language so i'm still a bit off, but very inspired!
