you should make placeholder graphics look incredibly shitty!! making a game is a long and complicated process and if you use ai to make placeholders that look finished at a glance you'll probably forget some of it, and then people will scour your whole game and you'll look like a fraud.

F-ZERO GX is one of the greatest games because it has 40 playable characters that aside from around 5 or 6 of them nobody has ever really thought that much about, and gives all of them voice acted interviews and their own theme song and short film. this game Loves guys like "Octo Man" and "Billy"

i really love how kind of dreary sonic 1 is. like half the levels are sonic trudging through these momentumless worlds with dull colours, bleary eyed, with music that sounds like the residents. i find it really captivating
