It depends on who is making it. Western companies are doing everything they can to release any kind of product they can sell for government contracts. Meanwhile, Chinese courts just banned the use of AI to replace workers in China. The fundamental problem with AI is the capitalism.

The thing about a good product is: I don’t have to understand it to find it useful. No idea how to build a smartphone, but it’s useful. No idea how Google ca 2010 worked, but it did what I wanted it to do. Wikipedia may be more transparent, but I actually never needed to understand its potential.
