Have I ever mentioned how much I love Deck Building? I count 9 unique DBGs in my collection that I consider forever keepers. 1st wave stuff like Dominion, Ascension, DC, Star Realms and oddballs like Pixel Lincoln and Video Vortex. If I’m not playing those, I’m likely playing Balatro or Inscryption.

I like a lot of Cryptozoic games, and I love MST3K; but I’m not there yet with the board game kickstarter. The Apples to Apples formula makes sense for this game, and I appreciate they are trying to evolve the formula. But I need more gameplay for $50 (minimum); the card count seems light to me.

I’ve struggled to get my pudding for Thanksgiving thick enough to work as a pie. So when I saw some random Reddit post that said to just use two boxes of pudding mix instead of one, I laughed at such a foolish notion. Imagine my embarrassment when tonight’s test batch came out perfect.

It’s a little thing, but today an old friend of mine said he has been in the seats I bought for Weird Al, and it’s a great view. I always wonder about that, and this is the first time my specific seats have come with an endorsement.

This is the first time I’ve seen this in full after hearing about how legendary it was for many years. And I can honestly say It may be my favorite televised magic performance, period. It recaptured a willing suspension of disbelief that I’ve struggled to find at magic shows as I’ve gotten older.

Regardless of the time of year or geographic location, I will turn the temperature in a hotel room down to the lowest possible setting and set the fan to always on as soon as I arrive. This is because hotel blankets trap heat like crazy, and my body temperature at 3:00 AM will be 5,000 degrees.

Let that sink in.

The promo in question prominently featured a big tub of green slime, and the episode itself kept teasing the risk of an overflow of green slime, but ain’t nobody got dumped into the tub. One person got dribbled on slightly.

As a kid, a promo for a certain episode of Tales from the Darkside scared me to death. It was about a machine that extracted sin from people in the form of green slime; never watched it, but just the promo haunted my nightmares. I finally watched the episode today, and LOL, what. (1/2)

We finally finished Succession over the weekend, crashing through the last 5 episodes while the kids were at their grandparents. A volume of sudden alignment shifts rivaled only by early 00’s WCW, but an overall satisfying end. I ate a Boston Cream Pie for dinner. It was a good Saturday.
