As I've mentioned a few times on here, the FF6 (FF3 at the time) ending sequence would freeze half way through on most NTSC-PAL converters, so UK magazine Super Play literally printed the entire ending so that their readers could finally see it.

I can really tell that this Final Fantasy Tactics remaster comes from people who worked on Final Fantasy 16. The user interface is very similar, and it also won't tell you how much time you've spent playing the game.

I'm curious why for a series that's often so consistent with its logo typeface that Final Fantasy makes exceptions for these?

I would like to say that the classic mode of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is the first time they've managed to port the game without messing up the sound in some way. There's finally reverb on the sound effects again.

I've finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 today. Got so many notes on this one, I'm going to take my time writing something about it. I'm looking forward to getting that out there. I've had a great time with it, much to think about.

Please just develop the literacies and dispositions to play old games just like you can watch old movies.

This convo I had highlights the difference in what "respect your time" means in games. A lot of players want to trade time for in-game progress. It's purely transactional: 1 hour = 1 progress But I want to feel like my actions matter i.e. what I do with time creates progress, not time itself.

Have spent the past few weeks playing Nioh, just finished it. Feel silly for having waited this long to play it, had an excellent time with it. I'm definitely getting to the sequel at some point. I can't wait as long for that.

I used to always routinely remove game discs when I turned the game off. What stopped me was receiving one in a steelbook. Removing a disc from one of those is too much trouble.

I'm rewatching Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex for the first time in a very long time. I hadn't noticed before that the characters are drawn very differently between episodes. Kusanagi looks like a different person every so often.
