For 5 years, Trump and Republicans have tried to erase and rewrite the story of January 6th — the day a violent mob stormed the Capitol and tried to overturn the 2020 election. Now, as he continues acting like a dictator, the strength of our democracy is being tested.

The lesson of January 6th is that it does absolutely no good to prosecute the the violent foot soldiers if you're not going to prosecute the leaders and hold them accountable for their sedition under the full force of the law.
