The annual tea and cookie exchange was a success! This year’s attendees were my sister, stepsister and their grown daughters. My cookie is the frosted gingerbread bar with red and green sprinkles. My niece’s Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookie was my favorite with its kick of cayenne.

I’m all ready for the holiday tea and cookie exchange. I’ve made walnut and cream cheese on panettone, egg salad on whole wheat and lox with chive cream cheese on dark rye. Then cookies!

The recent #pnw windstorm had one happy result: Apparently it blew down my MAGAt neighbor’s big TRUMP flag. Now I’m waiting to see if he replaces it or takes the hint from the universe.

This reminds me of a recent tour I was on and how everyone tried to avoid interacting with the one royal ass on the trip.

Thanksgiving is finally over now that the turkey carcass has been thawed and turned into soup. I got enough stock from the bones to make two batches. The recipe I used is in the comments and very similar to the one my late mom always made.

Did you know measles can damage a child’s eyesight, and can even cause blindness? I was the only one of four kids in my family who had measles at a very early age, and I’m the only one with very poor vision, getting glasses in third grade. Vaccinate!

I read the excerpt in Vanity Fair, and it was so awful and narcissistic that I couldn’t imagine reading 300 pages of her swill.

My walking buddy and I had our annual holiday lunch at Harbor Lights on the Tacoma waterfront. We both had the NW cioppino and Caesar salad … very good! … and a split of Prosecco. Our window table gave us a great view of birds, a harbor seal and Commencement Bay. #pnw
