In this regard, designing a Lancer map requires the same skills as map design in a videogame (specifically competitive multiplayer games like Counterstrike, TF2, Overwatch etc): an understanding of the flow of play and the impact of the environment on player behaviour, and iteration over playtests.

Having discussions and thinking about it, and I am not joking when I say that I think the maps for Shadow of the Wolf remain the best TTRPG maps I have ever seen bar none. I'm serious. Now, you might be thinking "oh what about X map artist" or "these OSR dungeons were cool". Stay with me on this.

Got some great work on Trench Crusade minis tonight. Currently playing Iron Sultanate in this campaign, and I've come up with a scheme I really like for them. In the center is Djamila, my Alchemist with a machine gun who has been my MvP every game so far.

More musings from the Deity series I’ve been noodling on. This one in particular took a minute as I’ve been chipping away at it in my spare time. Playing with the idea of a Deity that could multiply itself into various configurations. Close ups in the comments.

I sympathise with the frustration at a certain flavour of TTRPG fans claiming it's elitist to learn the rules of the game you're playing, but I have to laugh at analogies like "you wouldn't say it's elitist to watch a TV show you claim to be a fan of"; people in TV show fandoms 100% do say that.
