The Lox Romana Podcast has a new episode out, a somewhat under the buzzer Pride Month special! The podcast's editor and manager has had a very hectic and a half which is why episodes have taken so long to get out, but we're getting that salmon nailed back on that cross!

Having played a few games of 40k 11th edition now, I think people are overestimating the degree to which the changes to how cover and terrain work actually advantage melee armies. Yes, it's now much easier for melee units to crawl up the board undetected to stage for charges.

Yesterday I played a game of 40k on a 48x48 board instead of a 48x60 and if this is a safe space where controversial opinions are allowed, I'd say that a 4 ft by 4 ft square board was more fun to play on than the rectangular board, cause it made the terrain much more densely packed together.

So Destiny 2 has been "falling short of expectations for years" and yet Bungie's "future projects" are still too "early in incubation" to just move the fucking people working on Destiny 2 into the teams for those projects? You fucking kidding me? This reeks of bullshit corpo doublespeak.

Total War: Shogun 2's Realm Divide is such a black stain on what is otherwise an almost perfect Total War game. For those unfamiliar, the Realm Divide is basically what happens when you get over halfway to completing a campaign of Shogun 2. Basically every faction declares war on you at once.

Star Citizen has now reached the point where it's received so much funding that I'm questioning the ethics of this situation. The company that makes SC is obviously never going to finish a game, because if they do then they have to stop crowdfunding. It's a business model where you give them money.
