Like you say, these are far from ‘normal times’ for any of us. But Harris & most of the Democrat party are acting like the death, destruction & demolition the fascists are engaging in will be easily fixed after a Dem election win, when anyone can see the damage already done may be irreparable.

I’ve got little problem with Kamala Harris and I think she did the best job she could playing the hand she was dealt, and in normal times losing candidates writing books doesn’t bother me, but her going on a media blitz *right at this moment* to air factional grievances is not sitting right with me.

I mean maybe, I just don’t know what she’s doing *now*, and such that the party and the country needs solidarity in this moment, it all worries me a bit.

Yeah, that was a different moment -- the last "normal" election -- and a different candidate with a lot more baggage. I feel like Harris had an obligation (and an opportunity) to speak to her voters -- someone needed to! -- and she blew it.

Because 48.4% of people voted for her and were looking for Democratic leadership to step up and tell them the plan, or at least acknowledge their fears and heartache. And senior leadership really disappeared for months. The only figures I saw speaking to the base were AOC, Walz and Pritzker

I have a problem with her disappearing in the aftermath of the election. I get that she must have been exhausted and devastated but you’re the putative leader of the antifascist party and the fash are taking over, you don’t just bail for a year
