Got back from Germany. Great time with family and friends plus some nice hiking. BUT, German customer service was particularly bad this year. Wherever we turned (restaurants, bakeries, airlines), people were rude (regardless of which language i spoke) and asked for more money (tips, fees, etc).

The guy at the German car rental place made several jokes about the Alaska meeting to mask the general fear that everyone in Germany feels. They don't think two old guy authoritarians can strike anything but a corrupt and detrimental deal. May CNN should go to German beer gardens.
