Instead of doing the last bit of playtesting and iteration that the game needs, I've been writing a new editor feature so I can layer in nice watercolor / marbling textures by @purenonsens.bsky.social. Still more work to do to get this looking as good as it can.

I find myself fretting over compression / fidelity to keep my game's filesize down and it helps to remind myself that the current build (effectively a finished game) is the size of an Unreal build with nothing in it. Perhaps I don't need lossy compression on these textures.

Been playing a bunch of The Artisan of Glimmith - about 20 hours in the past week. The premise is simple (pen-and-paper region division puzzles) but what really sells the game is the quality of the puzzle design, which is consistently very high. The pricing on this is kind of an insane deal, too.
