Seattle Councilmember Eddie Lin today riffing on the absurdity of having an appeal process for citywide land use decisions that doesn't exist in any other context, a fact that often delays action on impactful legislation by months and years...and anyone can file an appeal from anywhere.

I say without hyperbole that this is the most brazenly corrupt action in US Presidential history. That it does not immediately lead to impeachment is a dangerous sign of how far the rule of law has declined.

When did we normalize this? When did it become okay for a president to tell a female reporter she’s a ‘dumb person’ for asking a totally legitimate question about his contradictory answers? Was there a specific date and time it become okay? Normal? Normalized?

CNN reporting that the strikes on Iran tonight are joint US and Israeli strikes. Which means Donald Trump should be impeached for a third time. What he has done tonight is illegal under the US constitution and the UN charter.

In most of Seattle, it was and still is illegal to build apartments, condos, denser & more affordable housing that make best use of the expensive land. So we have a highly segregated Seattle: houses-with-lawns in unpolluted neighborhoods, versus apartments on loud polluted streets.

our comp plan is a public health and livability nightmare - funneling affordable housing and renters on to loud, dangerous, and polluted streets that are difficult to cross - while protecting homeowners from the arterial renters continue to be fodder to protect wealthy. this sucks so much.
