Unpopular opinion: It's OK to let beloved entertainment run its course. We've been trying for two decades now to revive the Muppets. They were a moment in time infused with the magic of their brilliant creators. Not even someone as blessed as Seth Rogen will be able to re-create that.

I'm sure that the comedians who've made bank on their anti-woke/cancel culture stances will be all over this one.

I haven't seen a movie in the cinema since my daughter was born, but it looks like that'll have to change for "One Battle After Another."

There need to be more articles about how it feels between copyediting and the arrival of the bound galleys, when the book is essentially done and now you're just waiting in quiet panic for others to read it. Lots of anxiety at this stage.

The thing is, many speeches at award shows are boring until the final ten seconds, when the person finally gets around to saying something personal or from the heart. The conceit this year, while well-intentioned, undercuts that and actually makes the speeches worse.

So many books that I read to my daughter feature telephones and clocks, and she has no frame of reference for these things.

Moses Malone passed away ten years ago today. He was a tough figure to get to know, not prone to speak to the media, but I hope that my upcoming book, "Moses and the Doctor," makes him a little more known. Coming in February.

Ava is rapidly gaining words, a few new ones a day. The only problem is that some are extremely useful (hello, moon, ball, etc.) and others much less so (mermaid, mole, owl).
