It probably also doesn’t come with this behind-the-scenes DVD that I, the sole person who liked this game when it came out, got for pre-ordering it.

I have a vague memory of seeing some Sega Channel brochure/ad/standee thing when my parents dragged me along on an errand and I thought it was the coolest thing I’d ever heard of. But we couldn’t afford cable, much less a video game channel, so I never played it. This is cool.

This NEX Playground success is fascinating to me for several reasons, one being that the hardware isn't new. I was looking at it in a Best Buy *last* holiday season and thought, "Seems solid but I don't know if it will find an audience." And here we are. I've seen it on TikTok more than once.

My son just turned the key on what sounds like 20 different musical snowglobes at once. What a fun auditory experience.
