Today was the first time I've made it to a #bwfc game since moving from Madrid to Tokyo. Would've been great to see a goal, but honestly just so happy to be back here.

Sitting here scrolling through everyone's amazing #BatmanDay art, I figured I'd share a quick photo of my "Faces of Batman" canvas signed by a bunch of the artists. I love this piece so much; I was living in Oakland when I got it and in the years since it has travelled with me to Madrid then Tokyo.

And here I was thinking that the scorelines I've been getting with Bolton Wanderers in my EA Sports FC 26 manager career are unrealistic. #bwfc

I've mostly been keeping my Kickstarter habit in check lately, but backed this one in a heartbeat. A bunch of my favorite gaming folks are involved, and with so much garbage clogging up online storefronts I'm excited for just about anything that can help with game discovery.

Excited to finally have cross-save in No Man's Sky. Expedition rewards I unlocked on Switch while my other consoles were in transit are now on my main save as well, as is the gorgeous Switch-exclusive Horizon Vector NX, which looks even better at 4K.

Finally beat Balatro on Gold Stake for the first time using my favourite Abandoned Deck. Next up: Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, or most likely Balatro's Ghost Deck.

Going through old thumb drives I found, among other treasures from my tenure at GameSpot, a Wii press kit from Leipzig Games Convention circa 2006. In other news, I recently quit my job at 2K and will be moving to Tokyo with my family in August. Exciting times!

After living in California, ordering from Amazon here in Spain is... different. Thirteen months later I refuse to cancel this order.

Being red-green colourblind made jumping into EA FC 24"s Ultimate Team mode with a ball that defaulted to "EA Sports Red" or some shit frustrating as hell. My preferred Manager Career mode seems solid, but certainly not having FIFA 23 levels of fun on the pitch yet.

Starting to think that ordering that weird new glow in the dark Analogue Pocket was a terrible idea. 60 USD shipping plus 73 EUR import charges will do that...

I am SO backing this! Patapon 3 is an all-time favorite, and I fell in love with the first Patapon so hard while reviewing it for GameSpot that I purchased surprise copies for some of my colleagues.

Excited to visit Tokyo in a few weeks and already working on my Akihabara shopping list. My first time there for a vacation rather than Tokyo Games Show, which I first attended solo and unprepared for in '98. Only TGS picture I can find: GameSpot 2005 crew authentic Japanese end-of-TGS celebration.
