It’s been a while since I’ve flllowed mainstream comics so I bought myself a year of Marvel Unlimited to revel in some Kirby and Simonson and Ditko and have realized that I really ignored the 90s mainstream scene while it was happening and I now see I missed nothing good.

As an unabashed fan of Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club books, the movie being directed by Columbus disappointed me. I just checked if the man has ever directed a film that didn’t leave me cold and… no, no he has not. Even more than Ron Howard, his films just feel rote to me.
