i am all for people going & making their own things. it is hard, vulnerable work but also i think animation people in particular really just need to take a couple years where they read some classic books, watch some old movies, etc. so they're not all drawing from the same tiny well of influences

Some people are downplaying this as "just using it for storyboards" I don't know how to break it to you, but we already have a means to make those, its called storyboard artists and you pay them a wage. I cannot stomach how little some artists will think of other artists and their livelihoods.

I think the easiest way to spot the difference between live action stunt casting for animation (like basically any Chris Pratt role) and an actor who genuinely walks in both worlds with sincerity is by their willingness to accept series rates for their performances

I'm sorry but if an artist tried NFT, then tried AI, then is probably a mysoginist, then backpedaled everytime and ignored everything, I'm not sure you can trust them.

AI is a plague and it has no place in film/animation. The united shunning of one of our best who chose to accept this tech proves that. This is the line we must continue to hold. I am sure we will have to do this again, but I am happy to hold the line with you all.
